DNV Practical Loss Control Leadership (Third Edition) Independent Study Program.

Plan A– is best suited for individuals. Managing Risk Canada will administer the program, grade the exams and upon successful completion of the course, mail the Certificate and graded exam to the participant.
Plan B– is designed for groups of 10 or more. The employer will administer the program, grade the exams and issue the certificate themselves using templates and materials provided by DNV GL.
The “DNV -Practical Loss Control Leadership Independent Study Program” is an excellent study course that is used in both group and individual study formats.
The Practical Loss Control Leadership Textbook includes 20 Chapters and there are 20 questions to be answered per chapter. The participant must first read the chapter and then answer the questions for that chapter. We recommend that the participant budget a minimum of 80 hours to complete the course. There is not a set completion time period as the PLCL was created to be completed at each participant’s own pace. We would however recommend that a finish date be put in place by the administrator (2 months, 3 months, 6 months , etc. depending on the time available) to ensure that the program is completed.

The marking of the exam, Shipping costs to customer and the DNV GL Certificate are all included as part of the Plan “A” program.
The PLCL Plan “A” set price is $ 260.00 CAD. + applicable taxes.
PLCL – Independent Study Program – Plan “B” (Min 10 Exams Required).
There are no minimum requirements on the PLCL Textbooks. ( Sold Separately ). You may want to library and reuse the textbooks for future participants.
Managing Risk Canada would ship the PLCL Textbooks, the PLCL Independent Study Programs, blank certificates and the answer key to an administrator within your company. (Shipping & Handling included in price).
The administrator would issue the PLCL textbook and ISP exam to each of the participant(s) and would grade the exam (using the supplied answer key) when the course is complete. Upon successful completion of the ISP the administrator would issue the certificate to the participant. This now becomes an internal company program where the company Administrator/Manager is in control of the course.
